Other Payment Information:
Returned Check Information
There will be a $25 service charge applied for any returned check. If
this is the first returned check received by ATMC on a current bill, a
letter is sent out giving ten (10) days notice for payment in full by
cash, money order, or credit card. If payment is not received within ten
(10) days, the customer's service will be disconnected. If the customer
has a history of returned checks or the returned check is paying a past
due bill, the customer's service is disconnected immediately with no
notification. ATMC does not redeposit checks except in the case of bank
error. If the bank is responsible for the error, a letter from the bank
stating the error and their responsibility is required. After receiving
the letter, ATMC will credit the returned check fee and redeposit the
check.
Disconnection of Service
Service can be disconnected for unpaid bills any time after the due
date on the bill. A disconnect notice may be mailed prior to the date of
disconnection advising the customer of the past due status and the
intent to disconnect service.
Reconnection of Service
If service is disconnected for non-payment of a past due bill, all
past due amounts must be paid. Accounts may also be subject to a credit
review and deposit. Customers must request the reconnection of service.
A reconnection fee will be charged to each account disconnected.
Deposits and Options to Establish Credit
ATMC requires all customers to establish financial responsibility
prior to providing you with service. Following an online credit check, a
security deposit up to $500 may be required.
Misuses of Facilities
ATMC may discontinue telephone service, after notification, for
misuse of the telephone facilities for the following purposes:
- The use of the service in such a manner as to interfere with the service of others.
- The use of the service for any purpose other than communication.
- The use of facilities of the telephone company without approval of service connection and the applicable payment.
- Causing or allowing telephone facilities to be tampered with, damaged, or destroyed through negligence. When service is restored after denial, the telephone company will make a pro rata allowance at the scheduled rate for the service denied for the entire period or denial.
- Your Rights and Responsibilities - Be careful who you let use your phone. If telephone service is in your name, you are responsible for all calls made from your phone including long distance calls, regardless of who places the call. Your telephone may be used for legal purposes only and may not be used in any way that interferes with the telephone service of others. Equipment connected to ATMC's lines must be in compliance with our tariffs and Federal Communication Commission regulations.
