A battery back up is installed with the FTTH configuration at each house. The manufacturer of these battery back-up units states that the unit can power telephone service for up to 6 hours.
If the developer/builder does not provide structured wiring at each residence the bandwidth potential of the fiber optics is negated. Structured wiring gives the end-user a system that supports different communications, security and multimedia technologies based on nationally recognized standards for the technology of today and tomorrow.

That small box is the Optical Network Termination device or ONT. This is where ATMC connects the fiber optic cable to your home's structured wiring network.
Nothing. ATMC provides the FTTH infrastructure, electronics and labor to build and maintain the network free of charge to the developer/builder. All we ask is that you adhere to our structured wiring diagram during construction.
ATMC currently has plans to deploy FTTH to new or ''Greenfield'' developments only. At this time, it is not economical to retrofit a development where existing copper or coax cable is in place.
