Digital Transition Information

Worried about the Digital Transition? Relax. You have Cable service from ATMC Cable.

As you may have heard, all U.S. television broadcasters must switch their transmissions from analog to digital by the end of the day on February 17, 2009, as required by federal law. Because we are in the Wilmington, NC Television market, the Digital Transition will take place at midnight on September 8th, 2008.

How does the digital transition affect me?

As long as your televisions are connected to ATMC Cable service you will not be affected. You will continue to receive all of your favorite shows and all the great programming you've come to expect. You don't need to do a thing!

Connect All of Your TVs

If you have televisions in your home that are receiving broadcast signals via antenna or "rabbit ears", you may want to get them connected to cable service. Just contact ATMC at 754-4311 for installation.

Don't I need a box?

If you have cable, at this time, you will not need a box. Though it isn't a requirement for the digital transition, now is a great time to upgrade to a digital cable box. A digital cable box is now included with all Expanded Basic service so you'll enjoy all the benefits of digital TV including:
