A Home Emergency Communications
Plan allows you and your family to know what to do to communicate with
rescue personnel and each other in times of emergency.
Steps in an
emergency communications plan include: establishing a communications
base, determining what information and to whom it should be
communicated, educating children on calling 9-1-1, designating a meeting
place and having the proper means of communications. With thoughtful
planning, a well-informed and well-prepared family will have a better
chance of remaining safe in any circumstance.
