ATMC Wireless Telephone Field Engineer

ATMC Wireless (Atlantic Seawinds Communications, L.L.C.), the wholly owned Wireless Telephone Company of ATMC, North Carolina's largest telecommunication cooperative, is currently seeking a Field Engineer. The Field Engineer is responsible for assisting with Radio Frequency network performance and overall maintenance for the ATMC Wireless market area. This involves identifying and providing search areas for new cell sites related to network expansion, coverage and capacity. The engineer must have field experience in system performance to evaluate and maintain the integrity of the network. The engineer must be able to effectively communicate and support field operations and deployment teams. The market area has its own unique challenges and issues that must be approached with creative solutions, an open mind and a positive attitude.

Requires a minimum of an Associate's Degree or Certificate in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent in experience or specialized training within the wireless industry. Work experience with 2 years experienced preferred in design, implementation and optimization of RF Wireless GSM networks including some experience or working knowledge of UMTS, TDMA, UMTS, WCDMA, CDMA and LTE technologies.
