ATMC is a locally owned nonprofit cooperative organized in 1955 by the citizens of Brunswick County who did not have telephone service and had not been able to secure this service from existing telephone companies. A cooperative belongs to the people who use it - people who have organized to provide themselves with the services they need.

From those early days to the present time, our focus has always been to identify our member-owners' needs and provide communications services that add value to the lives of our members and the communities we serve.

Today, ATMC not only offers local dial tone with advanced calling features but other communications services as well, such as Internet, digital wireless, digital cable television, long distance and high speed broadband connectivity.

We are proud of our historic ties to Brunswick County and believe that our humble beginnings are the keys to our future success.
