What exactly is an AT&T 3G MicroCell device? How does it work?
The AT&T 3G MicroCell device acts like a mini cell tower in your home,
and connects to your existing broadband Internet service. You receive improved
cell signal performance for both voice calls and cellular data applications
like picture messaging and Web surfing. Special ATMC Wireless Unlimited
MicroCell calling features are also available.
How do I install and set up my AT&T 3G MicroCell device?

Other useful information: • Installation near a window is strongly recommended to ensure access to Global Positioning System (GPS) signal. A GPS link is needed to verify the device location during initial startup. • You'll need to connect your device to broadband Internet service over DSL or cable.
How do I activate and register my AT&T 3G MicroCell?
You must activate your 3G MicroCell at an ATMC Wireless store. It will then be ready for equipment set up.
How many phone numbers can I have on my approved user list for access to my AT&T 3G MicroCell device:
You can grant access to your device to up to 10 numbers.
Is there a minimum broadband Internet speed required for my AT&T 3G MicroCell?
No. The device is compatible with any broadband service. However, downstream speeds of 6 Mbps and upstream speeds of 512 Kbps are recommended for best performance (satellite broadband is not compatible).
How will I know when my AT&T 3G MicroCell device is ready to provide service?
Watch the status of the LEDs on the front panel of the AT&T MicroCell device. Yours is ready to go once the 3G LED light is steady green. If you are experiencing issues with your LED status or accessing the Internet, refer to the troubleshooting section in your User Manual. If you are unable to resolve, please contact ATMC Customer Service at 910-754-4311 during regular business hours (M-F, 8 am - 6 pm) or contact an ATMC Wireless store.

Can I move my AT&T 3G MicroCell device and use it in another location?
Yes, your device can be moved to another location provided it is within the AT&T wireless authorized service areas. A device move requires an update to your location address in your 3G MicroCell account profile for the device to function and for 911 purposes. To update your profile, call ATMC Customer Service at 910-754-4311 during regular business hours (M-F, 8 am - 6 pm) or contact an ATMC Wireless store.
What is the range of the AT&T 3G MicroCell device?
The signal range is approximately 40 feet from the base (in all directions), or about 5000 square feet.
How many simultaneous calls or data sessions are possible with my AT&T 3G MicroCell device?
Up to four simultaneous sessions are possible with your AT&T 3G MicroCell device.
